introduction teacher:Hello! Today we are holding an event dedicated to the centenary of February Revolution. I invite everyone present to try to comprehend the picture of those days, to understand the causes and consequences of what is happening. Within the framework of human life, this event took place a long time ago, and within the historical framework - recently. An interesting fact is that the calendar of 1917 and 2017 are exactly the same. Moreover, such a popular holiday as Maslenitsa fell on the same days as this year. And so I give the floor to the leaders.

First host: In his Messages The president noted to the parliament that the coming year 2017 is the year of the centenary of the February and October revolutions. "This is a weighty reason to once again turn to the causes and the very nature of the revolutions in Russia. Not only for historians, scientists. Russian society needs an objective, honest, in-depth analysis of these events. This is our general history and should be treated with respect.

Second host: The outstanding Russian and Soviet philosopher Alexei Fedorovich Losev also wrote about this. “We know the whole thorny path of our country,” he wrote. We know the agonizing years of struggle, lack, suffering. But for the son of his Motherland, all this is his inalienable, dear.

First host: “I am sure that the absolute majority of our citizens have this very feeling of the Motherland. And we need the lessons of history, first of all, for reconciliation, for strengthening the social, political, civil accord, which we managed to achieve today,” he stressed.Vladimir Putin .

Second host: The February Revolution of 1917 in Russia is still called the Bourgeois-Democratic Revolution. It is the second revolution in a row (the first took place in 1905, the third in October 1917). The February Revolution began a great turmoil in Russia, during which not only the Romanov dynasty fell and the Empire ceased to be a monarchy, but also the entire bourgeois-capitalist system, as a result of which the elite was completely replaced in Russia.

First host: There were several reasons for the February Revolution.

Video fragment "Who benefited from the February Revolution"

Second host: The spark in the barrel of gunpowder was only three days of interruptions in Petrograd with black bread. Only with black - white, a little more expensive, lay freely. There were also objective reasons for this - snow drifts that prevented the supply of flour. There were rumors; that cards would be introduced for bread, and the deficit immediately intensified: they began to buy up bread for crackers. An increasing number of people who defended the "tail" - that is, the line, which already outraged the then Russians - remained empty-handed.

Musical accompaniment is read by a student of group No. 11 Kartamyshev Maxim.

“... For several days now we have been living on a volcano ... There was no bread in Petrograd, the transport was very disordered due to unusual snows, frosts and, of course, because of the tension of the war ... There were street riots ... But it was, of course, not about bread ... That was the last straw ... The point was that in this whole huge city it was impossible to find several hundred people who would sympathize with the authorities ... And not even that ... The point is that the authorities did not sympathize with themselves ... In essence, there was no , not a single minister who would believe in himself and in what he is doing ... The class of former rulers came to naught ... ”(Vas. Shulgin“ Days ”)

First presenter: The city began to seethe.

Video fragment: Bloody revolution of 1017 Russia on blood.

First host: March 2, night - Nicholas II signed a manifesto on the granting of a responsible ministry, but it was too late. The public demanded renunciation.

Second host: On March 2, at about 3 p.m., Tsar Nicholas II decided to abdicate in favor of his heir, Tsarevich Alexei, under the regency of the younger brother of Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich. During the day, the king decided to abdicate also for the heir.

First host: March 4 - the Manifesto on the abdication of Nicholas II and the Manifesto on the abdication of Mikhail Alexandrovich were published in the newspapers.

Musical accompaniment of the student of group No. 11 Lashin Igor.

“The man rushed to us - Dear! he shouted and grabbed my hand. “Have you heard? There is no king! Only Russia remained. He kissed everyone warmly and rushed to run on, sobbing and muttering something ... it was already one in the morning when Efremov usually slept soundly. Suddenly, at this inopportune hour, the resonant short strike of the cathedral bell rang out. Then the second blow, the third. The blows became more frequent, a tight ringing was already floating over the town, and soon the bells of all the surrounding churches joined it. All the houses were on fire. The streets were filled with people. Doors in many houses stood wide open. strangers hugging each other crying. From the direction of the station flew the solemn and jubilant cry of locomotives. "(K. Paustovsky" Restless Youth ")

Second host: The emperor returned home and was taken under investigation. He was very worried when he found out that in the general mass even his convoy of 500 people had gone to the side of the revolution, each of whom he knew personally, and not only by name. This is how the "nationwide, bright and bloodless" revolution took place. By the way, not so bloodless. Only in the capital during the days of the revolution, 1443 people were killed and wounded. A significant proportion of the dead were employees of the Petrograd police. Then there were persistent rumors that it was the policemen who were buried on the Field of Mars under the guise of "heroes of the revolution." Like it or not, in the revolutionary chaos they really became one of the few heroes who fulfilled their duty to the end.

First presenter : The verse "To the February Revolution" by Sergei Momdzhi is read by Trusov Igor.

February in the old way, and the new - March,
And the seventeenth year with a sign
He is now rich in revolution,
He is one such date in it.

February and the Petrograd dawn,
What was it? Woe, good?
When "Down with!", and dropped the king,
Not even changing the flag.

The weak-willed king, mediocre war,
And millions of dissatisfied
People and generals, the whole country,
Participants of those days of involuntary.

Freedom! Red bow on chest
And my head is spinning
Bro! Defeat behind?
And on the fronts in the troops fermentation.

And irresponsible talkers
The name is even - Temporary,
Discord, robbery, collapse of the country,
And pregnant with a new revolution!

To the people only bullets and bayonets,
For them whips from the Cossack hundreds,
Capital has all the slaves,
And the people are still deprived of them.

The collapse of the empire, of course, is a disaster,
Freedom, well, of course - it's good,
But only the country should become powerful,
And all the power to the people should be given!

And that February is both good and bad,
He showed: everything is on the shoulder of the people,
And liberals are always talkers,
And expect trouble, if they make the weather!

First host: Was the February Revolution good or bad? Need or not? This question hardly makes any sense. February, unlike October, was a spontaneous phenomenon. As in a thundercloud: a potential difference has accumulated - and it struck. It is hardly possible to single out the right side in this social conflict.

Second host: In conclusion, it is appropriate to quote the Russian historian Vasily Osipovich Klyuchevsky. "History," he noted, "is not a teacher, but an overseer: she teaches nothing, but severely punishes for ignorance of the lessons." Whether we have learned the lessons of the events of a hundred years ago, time will tell.

First host: This concludes our event. Thank you for your attention.

Class plan

Class hour progress

1. Opening speech of the class teacher

The October Revolution of 1917 took place on October 25 according to the old or November 7 according to the new style. Initiator, ideologist and main actor revolution was the Bolshevik Party - the Russian Social Democratic Bolshevik Party, led by Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (party pseudonym Lenin) and Lev Davidovich Bronstein (Trotsky). As a result, power has changed in Russia. Instead of a bourgeois government, the country was headed by a proletarian government. The Bolsheviks advanced the slogans "Power to the Soviets", "Peace to the peoples", "Land to the peasants", "Factories to the workers".

The goals of the October Revolution of 1917 were:

  • Building a more just society than capitalist;
  • The eradication of the exploitation of man by man;
  • Equality of people in rights and duties;
  • Fight against wars;
  • world socialist revolution.

It should be noted that the goals were achieved. The Bolsheviks were victorious and the dictatorship of the proletariat was established. The results of the revolution were comprehended and rethought during the century after its completion. But all historians are unanimous in one thing: the Great October Socialist Revolution is the main event of the 20th century, it influenced the subsequent course of events in world history.

2. Student messages

  • The October Revolution of 1917. Chronicle of events";
  • "Prerequisites for the October Revolution";
  • "Alignment of socio-political forces during the Civil War";
  • "Creation of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army".

3. Viewing fragments of feature films on the topic, followed by a discussion

There are different approaches to assess revolutionary events. If considered in a moral aspect, then the revolution (as a change political system, a violent change of power) and the ensuing Civil War (a struggle between citizens of one state) is a manifestation of cruelty and hatred. A clear illustration of this position is Russian literature, which has always considered the tragic events of our history from a humanistic point of view. Russian literature as a whole perceived the revolution and the civil war as a great tragedy for the people. Remember A.M. Gorky "Untimely Thoughts", I.A. Bunin "Cursed Days", M.A. Sholokhov "Quiet Don".

And the roar of battles does not stop
Throughout the expanses of the southern steppe,
Among the golden splendors
Horses trampled reapers.
And here and there between the rows
The same voice sounds:
“Whoever is not for us is against us.
No one is indifferent: the truth is with us.”
And I stand alone between them
In roaring flames and smoke
And with all your might
I pray for both.

(M. Voloshin "Civil War")

Viewing a fragment of the film "Forty-first"

based on the story of the same name by B. A. Lavrenev (the final scene, when Maryutka shoots lieutenant Govorukh-Otrok).

Viewing a fragment of the film "Two comrades served"

(a fragment of the acquaintance of Koryakin and Nekrasov, Ivan Trofimovich's reasoning about the importance of the proletarian essence and the noble origin of Lenin).

Watching a fragment of the film "Admiral"

(execution by sailors of officers).

Questions for the class:

  • Do you think that when history is being made, the life of one person is important?
  • Can any end justify the means?
  • Is the position of M. Voloshin close to you or do you disagree with such a formulation of the question?
  • How do you assess the act of the Red Army soldier Maryutka?
  • Who are, in your opinion, revolutionary romantics?
  • Why did Popovich Nekrasov volunteer to serve in the Red Army?
  • Is the manifestation of revolutionary cruelty and class hatred a forced necessity or a pattern? Can it be justified?

Conclusions after discussion: Of course, history "thinks" in certain categories, studying the fate of peoples, millions of people. Literature explores the fate of one person against the backdrop of the events of a particular time. historical science analyzes complex contradictory processes in society, which are both subjective and objective in nature, and literature, like any other art form, studies primarily “the life of the spirit and soul”, inner life person. This fundamental difference must be understood.

There were certain prerequisites for the emergence of a revolutionary situation in Russia. The revolution has come to pass, and as a result, it has won. This is a historical objective reality that we must accept. But we must not forget about those tragic phenomena that accompanied this process: for example, the execution royal family, the policy of war communism. The personality cult of Stalin, collectivization, repressions, which were later condemned in 1956 in the report of N.S. Khrushchev at the 20th Congress of the CPSU.

Let's try to understand these difficult historical realities.

4. Analytical conversation

Acquaintance with the positions of both military-political forces:

Bolsheviks. Red Army"

The large-scale Civil War was considered a logical continuation of the revolution. fighting, the purpose of which was to promote the ideas of the revolution, were to consolidate the power of the Bolsheviks and contribute to the spread of the ideas of socialism throughout the world. During the war, the Bolsheviks planned to destroy the bourgeoisie as a class. Thus, based on this, the ultimate goal of the "Reds" is a world revolution.

"Anti-Bolshevik Forces: The White Movement and the Democratic Counter-Revolution"

In documents Volunteer army The following program was formulated: “The destruction of the Bolshevik anarchy, the establishment of a legal order. Restoration of a united and indivisible Russia. Convocation of the People's Assembly on the basis of a general suffrage. Decentralization of power through regional autonomy and broad local government. Civil liberties, including freedom of religion. Immediate land reform "to eliminate the land needs of the working population." Immediate Labor Legislation".

For several months of its existence, all the Socialist-Revolutionary governments carried out transformations in order to return the gains of the February Revolution: “The abolition of the Bolshevik decrees; denationalization of property and return to its former owners; restoration of zemstvos and city dumas; the proclamation of democratic freedoms; attempts to create labor legislation; attempts to create their own armed forces; repressive measures against the Bolsheviks and participants in the establishment of Soviet power.

– At the next stage, students show the positive achievements of the revolution, as well as its negative sides. Perhaps the proof of the theses with specific examples and arguments from life experience or fiction. For example, “Pit”, “Descendants of the Sun” by A. Platonov, “The Tale of the Unextinguished Moon” by B. Pilnyak, “Don Stories” by M. Sholokhov, “ dog's heart”,“ The White Guard ”by M. Bulgakov, poems by A. Blok, A. Akhmatova, V. Mayakovsky and other works of Russian literature of the 20th century.

Achievements of the revolution

Achievements of the revolution - liquidation class society and class inequality, landlords' land began to belong to the peasants, industry was nationalized, capitalist relations ceased to exist, working conditions at enterprises improved, the principle was put into practice; “From each according to his ability, to each according to his work”, equal opportunities appeared in all spheres of life for citizens, education became available to the general population, the idea of internationalism was strengthened, society was built on the principles of social justice. A strong state was built, which subsequently liberated the world from fascism.

Negative sides

Negative aspects - distortion of the ideas of socialism in real life, leveling of the individual in the conditions of totalitarian state power, emigration, the destruction of the intelligentsia, the denial of religion, the emergence of a new ruling elite, the death of millions of people in the Civil War and after, Stalin's personality cult, the "conventionality" of the ideas of the CPSU, their isolation from real life in the years of late socialism , loss of faith in the ideals of the revolution, the collapse of the USSR in 1991.

Sample lists are given; students may expand on them.

5. Summing up. conclusions

There are fundamentally opposite assessments of the October Revolution: from perceiving it as a national tragedy to realizing it as the greatest progressive event in the history of mankind, which had a huge impact for the whole world, but for Russia it allowed to choose a non-capitalist path of development.

6. Final word of the class teacher

It is impossible to approach the assessment of the past from categorical unambiguous positions. History must be accepted, respected and known. Knowledge helps to better understand historical processes, to avoid repeating mistakes in the future. History and literature from different positions and different ways take us to the past. A.S. Pushkin believed that "respect for the past is the feature that distinguishes education from savagery." Trying to follow artistic truth, the poet was seriously interested in history, studied documents, and talked with eyewitnesses of events. The main thing in the knowledge of history is the memory of the ancestors, their glorious deeds, loyalty to the traditions of the motherland:

Two feelings are wonderfully close to us.
In them the heart finds food:
Love for native land
Love for father's coffins.
Based on them from the ages,
By will God Himself́,
human self,
The pledge of his greatness.
Living shrine!
Without them, the soul would be empty.
Without them, our cramped world is a desert,
The soul is an altar without a deity.

STUDY PROCESS

1. Organizing moment

Sounds like a melody

Vedas. one “There is no better companion than memory.

Our hearts are with her

She has true eyes

Find what was so long ago"

Vedas 2 . In 2017 we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution. We are moving further and further away from this historical milestone.
Great October is called the event of the past century

Veda 3. The history of the country has both light and dark pages. Remembering this event is not an attempt to save the past. This is evidence that the past should not be forgotten.

Vedas 4 . After the collapse of the Soviet state, new books and films appeared. The legendary footage of the capture of the Winter Palace has faded, historians are still arguing about that distant time - what is true in it and what is myth.

Teacher: Today - the day of the centenary of the revolution - is a good occasion to remember that this event turned out to be a turning point not only for Russia, but also for world history. This date requires its reflection and rethinking. Perhaps someday we (or our descendants) will come to a correct understanding of this process. In any case, you need to do it. Study, analyze, compare, weigh...

Sounds like an excerpt from The Internationale

Vedas. one. On November 7, Russia celebrates a memorable date, the Day of the October Revolution. On November 7, 1917, an armed uprising took place in Petrograd, ending with the capture of Winter Palace, the arrest of members of the Provisional Government and the proclamation of the power of the Soviets, which lasted more than seventy years.

VIDEO October Revolution (15 min.)

Vedas. 2. Celebrating November 7 began immediately; This day was celebrated in the USSR as the main holiday of the country - the Day of the Great October Socialist Revolution. Under Stalin, the festive canon also finally took shape: a demonstration of workers, the appearance of leaders on the podium of the Mausoleum, and, finally, a military parade on Red Square, for which the entrances to the main square of the capital were specially reconstructed. This canon was strictly observed, and even on November 7, 1941, when the Germans were advancing on Moscow, it was no exception: the regiments that passed through Red Square went straight to the front. The parade of 1941, in terms of its impact on the course of events, is equated to the most important military operation.

Vedas. 3. For more than 70 years, this "red day of the calendar" has been the main holiday of the country. For most of the twentieth century, millions of our fellow citizens in three generations celebrated November 7 - the Day of the Great October Socialist Revolution.

Vedas. 4. Although we note that the first 10 years, the heroes of these events themselves often called the revolution " October coup". In a similar way, and with an emphatically negative connotation, these events are called the last two decades at the official level. In a word, the holiday died together with the country - the USSR, although in fraternal Belarus this day is still an official state holiday and a day off.

Veda 1. The holiday, officially called the "Anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution", was first celebrated in 1918, and has become a day off since 1927. For the first time, the state celebration was not held on November 7, 1991, but November 7 itself remained a day off until 2005.

Veda 2. Many ask the question:Why is the October Revolution celebrated in November? The answer to this question is quite simple: the revolution of 1917 took place on the night of November 7-8 according to the new style, and according to the old style - from October 25 to 26.

Veda 3. After the collapse Soviet Union the president of a new country - Russia - Boris Yeltsin on March 13, 1995 signed the federal law"On the days of military glory (victory days) of Russia", in which November 7 was called the Day of the Liberation of Moscow by the forces of the people's militia under the leadership of Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky from the Polish interventionists (1612).

VIDEO 2 (4.19 min.)

Veda 4. By his decree of November 7, 1996, Boris Yeltsin gave the holiday a new name, the Day of Accord and Reconciliation. The text of the decree, in particular, said: “The October Revolution of 1917 radically influenced the fate of our country. In an effort to continue to prevent confrontation, in order to unite and consolidate Russian society Decide: 1. Declaring the holiday on November 7 the Day of Accord and Reconciliation. 2. To declare 1997 - the year of the 80th anniversary of the October Revolution - the Year of Accord and Reconciliation.

Vedas 1 . We make a long journey again and again

Where this date burns.

And excitement squeezes our chest

Like a machine-gun belt once.

Ved.2 . There is no better companion than memory.

Our hearts are with her.

She has true eyes

Find what was so long ago"

Teacher: Time has its own memory - history. And therefore the world never forgets about the tragedies that shook the planet in different eras, including the cruel wars that claimed millions of lives, threw back civilizations, and destroyed the great values created by man.

The Petrograd sky was cloudy with rain,

The train left for the war.

Without end - platoon after platoon and bayonet after bayonet

Filled the car after the car.

In this train, a thousand lives bloomed

The pain of separation, the anxieties of love,

Strength, youth, hope... In the sunset distance

There were smoky clouds in the blood.

And, sitting down, they sang the Varyag alone,

And others - out of tune - Ermak,

And they shouted hurray, and they joked,

And the hand crossed itself quietly.

Suddenly, a falling leaf flew up under the wind,

Swinging, the lantern blinked,

And under a black cloud a cheerful bugler

Played a signal to send.

And the horn wept with military glory,

Filling hearts with anxiety.

Don't save me, dear
In the fatal fight
You keep without leaving
