When the Crimean railway bridge will be opened. All the railway supports of the Crimean bridge are ready. Finishing touches in the construction of the Crimean bridge

The new railway, which will connect the Crimean bridge with the tracks of the Krasnodar Territory through the Vyshesteblievskaya station, is already 80% ready. This will be a double-track approach, which is laid on a layer of sand and gravel with sections of rails and sleepers up to 800 meters long each. Trains along this path will move almost silently.

The railway track to the Crimea is constructed using a continuous welded method. This is the so-called velvet track made of rails. They are several times longer than the length of a standard 25-meter rail. The longer the rails, the fewer joints between them, passing along which the wheels of the trains characteristically knock. On the velvet track, trains run smoothly and almost without noise. Such a road is safer, more durable and more convenient in operation, - said Vitaly Beshliu, head of the project department of the Rostransmodernizatsiya PKU.

The length of the new railway Taman Peninsula is about 40 kilometers. It leads to the new deep-water port of Taman and branches off to the Crimean bridge. The work is going along the entire length of the route.

The embankment is already completely ready, tracks have been laid on 80% of the section, 130 turnouts have been assembled, over 2,200 reinforced concrete supports and metal posts of the contact network have been installed. The degree of readiness of artificial structures, including bridges and overpasses, is from 60 to 100%. The facility employs more than 1000 engineers and workers and 110 pieces of equipment, according to the information center "Crimean Bridge". The construction of a railway station is already underway in Taman.

Short-distance and long-distance trains will pass through the Taman-passenger station both in the direction of the Crimea and in the direction of the Krasnodar Territory and other regions. Residents of villages and villages on the Taman Peninsula will have a more convenient way to travel anywhere in the country. For this, a complex of buildings is being erected, including a railway station for 50 people, passenger and luggage platforms, receiving and departure routes and other facilities, - said Anatoly Vereshchaka, deputy head of the department, project manager of Rostransmodernizatsiya PKU.

From the Crimean side, an 18-kilometer-long railway approach leads to the bridge, which includes a bridge and five overpasses. Builders are building the Kerch-Yuzhnaya station. The approach will connect the bridge with railways on the peninsula, which connect Kerch, Dzhankoy, Feodosia, Simferopol and other cities by rail.

Approaches from the Crimea and Kuban will be put into operation together with the railway part of the Crimean Bridge in 2019. Its capacity will be 47 pairs of passenger and freight trains per day in both directions, ”said Leonid Ryzhenkin, Deputy Director General for Infrastructure Projects at Stroygazmontazh.

In Crimea, a preliminary train schedule for 2020 has already been prepared. It is assumed that in the first year of operation between the Crimean peninsula and mainland Russia there will be 29 pairs of trains a day, including 15 passenger, 10 freight and 4 suburban.

As for the construction of the railway part of the Crimean bridge, at the moment all the piles have been submerged, more than 290 out of 307 supports are ready, more than 100 thousand of 160 thousand tons of steel structures of superstructures have been assembled. The first trains will pass through the Kerch Strait in 2019.

More than 7 thousand engineers and workers work at the construction site every day. Almost 200 pieces of equipment and more than 30 watercraft are involved in the work. By the end of 2018, the builders plan to complete work on the construction of supports and install a significant part of the spans. After the installation of the bridge deck, the construction of the tracks will begin.

Construction of the railway to the Crimean bridge.

12 November 2018 bridge builders completed work on the construction of supports for the railway part of the Crimean bridge... 307 structures have been completed, which are now being gradually taken over by the superstructures.

The final was the railway support No. 254 in the Kerch Strait in the section between the fairway and the Crimean coast. It consists of a foundation on 16 tubular piles, submerged at different angles to a depth of 70 meters, and a body of steel reinforcement and hydraulic concrete.

The support is brought to the design mark - 33 meters from the water level, practically the height of a 12-storey building. The final stage was the concreting of its upper elements, on which special devices are subsequently installed - supporting parts (spans are placed on them), a kind of balancers, which will provide the necessary angular and linear movements of spans invisible to the naked eye in the event of temperature expansion of the metal or possible seismic vibrations.

The main stage in the construction of the railway part of the Crimean bridge today is the installation of spans. This complex technological process takes place at all offshore and onshore construction sites. In total, more than 15 kilometers of transport passage between Crimea and Taman have been blocked by spans at 8 construction sites.

Spans assembled at the stands are placed on land supports by cranes, on sea supports they are moved along sliding devices over the water area to ready-made supports with jacks at a speed of about 6 m / h.

On the finished spans, the upper structure of the railroad track is being formed successively from the Taman coast: at the moment, more than 9 out of 38 km of rail and sleepers have been laid.

Completion of the onshore and offshore installation is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019. In autumn next year track superstructure will be completed on the bridge. The movement of trains on the Crimean Bridge will begin in December 2019.

Recall that a continuous welded, or, as the railway workers say, "velvet track" is being built over the Kerch Strait. It consists of long rails. Each lash is a long rail welded from several standard rails. The longer the rails, the fewer joints, passing along which the wheels of the trains characteristically knock.

The length of one rail of the Crimean bridge is 440 meters.

Between such strings, so-called equalizing joints will be formed, which compensate for the thermal expansion of the metal.

The railway part of the Crimean Bridge meets the requirements of the II category of railway lines and includes two tracks. According to the calculated data, the road is designed for the movement of trains weighing up to 7,100 tons at an estimated speed of up to 120 km / h for passenger trains and up to 80 km / h for freight trains in the temperature range from -27 to + 57 ° C. The capacity is up to 47 pairs of trains per day.

The Velvet Railway to Crimea already has a preliminary plan for the movement of trains of all types for 2020. The contractor Russian Railways plans to hand over the finished project to the state customer FKU Rostransmodernizatsiya by December 2019. Information centre joint stock company Russian Railways announces its readiness to launch in test mode railway traffic to the Crimean Bridge by December 2018.

When will the railway traffic on the Crimean bridge be opened: at what stage is the construction of the railway part of the Crimean bridge

The first level of construction work was fully completed on June 4, 2018, when the last of the foundation piles was loaded. At the beginning of the use of pile driving equipment, bridge builders spent about a month on one such metal pile. Having become more skilled, the responsible workers brought labor productivity to one unit per day. The record for the submersion of pipe piles was set at the 224th support - 108 meters deep.

The overall readiness of the second part of the project has reached eighty percent. All 307 supports will be ready by the end of August 2018. The laying of tracks on the Taman Peninsula to ensure a railway approach to the bridge will also be completed this fall. On the Crimean coast, a double-track railway approach with a total length of 18 kilometers is being prepared to meet the bridge. The innovative method of rail laying allows for a continuous connection. In the long term, this will provide movement railway transport without the usual noise and monotonous vibration. This path was called velvet by the mouth of the bridge builders.

The next part of the planned work is the erection of superstructures on each track, followed by their joining with beams. It is necessary to collect 160 thousand tons of such structures - more than one hundred thousand have been erected. Know-how in span connections - anti-seismic fasteners. Relevant for relief features and natural phenomena peninsula. When all the spans are ready, the railroad will be covered by 38 kilometers of rail and sleepers.

The final stage of work is the beginning of the operation of approaches from the side of the peninsula and Krasnodar Territory, together with the railway part of the Crimean bridge. This grand event will take place in the second half of 2019.

When will the railway traffic on the Crimean bridge be opened: railway workers are solving an important problem

Planning an organization road traffic on two opposite approaches to the Crimean bridge, the railway workers experienced difficulty. On the mainland of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory, the movement of trains uses one type electric current, but in Crimea it is completely different. A problem arises. There is a compromise solution - a change in traction with general rail traffic.

There is also no clear picture about the reliable electrification of the railway bridge across the Kerch Strait. The electrician in the overall project is of the utmost importance.

When will the railway traffic on the Crimean bridge be opened: the traffic of all types of trains on the Crimean bridge is known

Railroad across the bridge connecting Crimea with other regions Russian Federation, will meet all the requirements for the second category of tracks. The 40-kilometer section is capable of withstanding trains weighing more than seven tons. The maximum speed of such transport should not exceed 120 kilometers per hour.

In 2020, a record throughput of the railway section of the bridge is projected. Thus, up to 47 trains of all types will be able to move in both directions per day.

At the beginning of the operation of the new transport route, the following number of trains will be launched for each direction per day: 15 passenger, 4 suburban and 10 freight trains. Until 2025, those responsible for the operation of two tracks of the railway capacities of the bridge across the Kerch Strait promise to run fifty pairs of trains as daily traffic. Over the course of a year, the railway will be able to deliver to its destination more than fifteen million passengers and up to sixteen million tons of various cargo. The numbers are impressive. But the designers never cease to pleasantly surprise, promising to raise this bar by another thirty percent in two decades.

The Crimean Bridge is expected not only in Crimea, but throughout Russia. Still, air tickets are expensive, and it is difficult to get them at the height of the holiday season, and the ferry crossing does not always work stably. Fortunately, this summer everyone will be able to drive to Crimea by car without stopping: the opening of the Crimean bridge is scheduled for May, and President V.V. Putin.

We will share all the most current news about the Kerch bridge and tell you what makes it unique.

According to the latest data, Crimean bridge will open at dawn on May 16! A team of builders will be the first to cross it. Then, after 6.00, the car traffic will start. The bridge will be personally received by the President, V.V. Putin. The construction was completed six months earlier than planned. By the end of May, both cars and buses, including passenger buses, designed to transport guests of the peninsula across the bridge will be able to cross the bridge.

Finishing touches in the construction of the Crimean bridge

At the beginning of May, the road section of the Crimean bridge is 98 percent ready, the builders said about it, its commissioning is scheduled for the second half of May. Cars and passenger buses will be the first to cross the bridge; freight transport will be able to do this only at the end of the season, in autumn.

Final work on the bridge

The work on the bridge has come to its end and does not stop even for a minute: the last blocks of the barrier fence are being installed, the lighting masts are connected to the power grids, the architectural lighting of the bridge arch is being mounted, the laid asphalt is being washed, electronic sensors are being tested and road signs are being installed.

Thermoplastic road markings and noise barriers are almost completed. They, made of fiberglass to preserve the visibility, will protect the access roads so that residents of neighboring settlements did not hear the noise of the traffic. Protective screens at the entrance to the bridge will be metal, this was done at the insistence of environmentalists so that birds from neighboring lakes could see the obstacle and not break.

Autoapproach readiness

The length of auto approaches towards the Kuban is 40 kilometers, and together with exits and junctions - 53.4 kilometers. But in May, the Kuban auto-approach will not work all the way - transport interchanges will not yet be put into operation, except for one, at 34 kilometers, where the arrangement and landscaping is just ending.

On both sides of the bridge at 26 kilometers, recreation areas and multifunctional gas stations have been organized, and on both sides of the bridge, inspection points for transport will soon be put into operation.

ASUDD readiness

The automated traffic control system is already in test mode. To ensure traffic safety not only on the bridge, but also on auto approaches, which is 70 kilometers, operators monitor the flow of cars not only on computers, but also on a huge panel that displays all the parameters of the bridge.

ASUDD was developed on the basis of Russian innovative technologies, and its main task is traffic management and comprehensive control, including observance of traffic rules, control of the weight and dimensions of transport and tracking the traffic flow.

The traffic monitoring system will collect information from the sensors on the flow rate, traffic interval, lane congestion and classify traffic, which will make it possible to select a traffic control program for the bridge.

19 video cameras and ten automatic control systems will control the observance of traffic rules. Information about violations will go to the traffic police posts, which will surely suppress the actions of the offender.

Automatic weather stations will determine the strength of the wind, air temperature and humidity, which ultimately informs about the condition of the road, thus, both road services and motorists will become aware of road icing, fog or strong wind... The program itself will analyze all the data and give its forecast a few hours before the onset of unfavorable conditions. The main dispatcher will have to choose correct solution actions for road workers and drivers.

The system will not only notify about an accident, but will also help drivers find a way out by showing information on a board (there are seven of them on the bridge), if the lane is blocked, they will be able to slow down and change lane.

Another system monitors the structures of the bridge itself in case of deformation by transport, hurricane winds or earthquakes. If several factors coincide, and the situation becomes critical, the sensors will instantly react, then the movement can be stopped by dispatchers.

Railway part of the bridge

Construction of the railway section of the bridge continues and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

Now the last pipe piles are being driven, then the foundations of the supports will be poured. The spans are already being assembled - 40 thousand tons of metal structures have been assembled, areas for sliding spans have been prepared. When the spans are ready, the laying of sleepers and rails will begin from the Taman side.

The opening date of the Crimean bridge is in May 2018

Great news for everyone who is interested in when the bridge to Crimea will be opened for cars! Construction is going ahead of schedule. If it was originally planned that the movement would be allowed only at the end of 2018, now the dates have shifted. Initially, representatives of the contractor said that the Kerch Bridge would be opened in early May. However, according to information, the opening had to be postponed to the end of April. The new date is the second half or the end of May. The plans also mean that the president himself will come to open the Crimean bridge. Representatives of the Stroygazmontazh company, which is responsible for the construction, assure that by the beginning of the tourist season, everyone will be able to get to the peninsula by car without a ferry crossing.

The bridge itself is more than 90% complete, but the road infrastructure of the Crimea itself does not keep pace with the builders. While in an emergency order are being made to it from the side of Kerch, construction of highways is also underway that will connect the bridge with Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yalta, bypassing large cities and will avoid traffic jams. As the authorities of the republic note, it is important not only to launch the bridge, but also to avoid a traffic collapse so that tourists do not leave Crimea with negative reviews.

In the first months, only cars and buses will be able to travel across the Crimean bridge without restrictions. Traffic for trucks is promised to be launched in the fall, and the rails will begin to be laid at the end of the year. The Tavrida highway, which will connect Sevastopol and Kerch, is still under construction, so tourists need to be prepared that the problems with roads on the peninsula itself have not yet been resolved.

The scheme of movement on the bridge to Crimea

The Ministry of Transport foresees that many Russians will want to get to Crimea through Taman during the summer holidays. In order to avoid traffic jams and increased loads on the bridge, it was decided to draw up a traffic plan.

When the Crimean bridge across the Kerch Strait is opened, buses and cars will be the first to cross it. Due to the fact that the bridge will be built in a shorter timeframe than planned, this will happen in the spring of 2018! Freight transport will be able to move along the Kerch Bridge on schedule, mainly at night. An exception will be made only for special vehicles serving the construction of the bridge. By the end of the year, all four lanes will be operational, and the capacity will be 40 thousand vehicles per day.

Despite the fact that the road junctions with the rest of the road network have not yet been completed, a through road will start operating on the Taman bank from the A-290 highway to the Crimean bridge in May. At this time, an auto approach from the bridge to the junction with the Tavrida highway will start working on the Crimean side. From here the traffic will continue along the existing Kerch-Simferopol highway.

When the new lanes of the Tavrida highway are put into operation, auto approaches to the bridge will begin to operate, and the restriction for freight transport will be lifted.

A parallel railway bridge will also open in 2019. It will carry, according to preliminary estimates, more than 14 million passengers per year.

What are the builders doing a month before the opening date of the Crimean bridge?

At the moment, work is underway to improve traffic safety and environmental safety bridge. To reduce the noise load, acoustic baffles with a height of 3-6 meters are installed on the areas adjacent to the Kerch Strait on both sides. The same screens on both sides will be installed on the bridge itself: 700 meters long from the Taman side and 1300 meters from the Kerch coast.

According to experts, the soundproofing panels are made of stainless steel, while mineral wool slabs will absorb the noise. The panel is very resistant to fire, water and wind, and stiffening ribs installed at a distance of a meter from each other are "responsible" for anti-vandal safety.

Trees planted at the entrance to the bridge according to a special scheme will also help to reduce the acoustic load. The same screens will be installed on the railway bridge when it is ready to go into operation. Noise barriers will also be installed on automobile approaches to the bridge on both sides; the area of the barriers will be 25 thousand square meters on each side.

The bridge itself will not be left without additional protection - fairings are mounted on the facade of the arch, which can remove the effect of the wind on the arch span and make travel across the bridge comfortable. The fact is that the wind speed just at the level of the roadbed through the arch can reach 40 meters per second. After testing, the shape of the fairings was designed like an airplane wing. The aerodynamic protection consists of 190 structural elements and is similar to the cornice on the facade. It is noteworthy that they were mounted from an arch, the movement of ships along the strait was not limited.

The road arrangement is also coming to an end: a barrier fence and all lighting are installed. When waterproofing is applied to the roadbed, it will be possible to start laying the finishing road surface. So the moment when the Kerch Bridge will be opened is not far off.

What makes the Crimean Bridge unique?

The idea to build a bridge across the strait existed before. In the 11th century, Prince Gleb took care of it, in 1870 - the British, at the beginning of the 20th century - Nicholas II, in 1942 - the Germans, but construction began only in 1944. It was nevertheless built, loads even went through it, but since in addition to metal piles, wooden piles were also involved, the bridge could not withstand the ice drift and was dismantled, they did not begin to repair it. Instead of a bridge, a ferry was arranged, which has been working properly all the years, but will end its existence in May 2018.

The Crimean bridge is unique in many respects:

  • the length of its arches is 227 meters, the height is 45 meters, and the weight is 5 thousand tons;
  • the dimensions of the passage under the bridge are 185 m in width and 35 m in height;
  • it took 46 thousand liters of anti-corrosion paint to paint the arch;
  • the arch is equipped with observation passages, lightning protection, alarm;
  • the bridge will be able to withstand an earthquake of 9.1 points without any problems;
  • the construction is being built seven days a week by a team of 13 thousand people.

When the Crimean Bridge is opened in May 2018, it will become the longest structure in Russia. Its length will be 19 km - however, 11.5 of them will pass by land.

By the way, the Crimean Bridge even has its own mascot! The cat Mostyk closely follows the work and loves to pose against the background of the piles.

The railway part of the bridge to Crimea will not be handed over at a "shock pace" - it will be ready to open at the previously scheduled time - in December 2019. Such terms were named by the Minister of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich in an interview with Izvestia. According to him, there is no need to speed up the construction. in addition to the bridge itself, it is necessary to stretch a railway line to the bridge in the Krasnodar Territory, and after the bridge, connect it with the Crimean railway system. Tour operators also do not expect a serious contribution from "railway" tourism: the Russian Railways monopoly is not interested in cooperation with the travel market, and tourists also prefer other "delivery methods". Although for loading "ground" the opening of the bridge will undoubtedly be beneficial. As well as for unloading the "automobile saturation" of the Crimea, which has become a problem this season.

As the head of the Ministry of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich explained, the construction of the railway section is more complicated, so there is no need to speed up the construction. In addition, only on the territory of Crimea it is necessary to build 18 km of railways to connect the bridge and the railroad system of the peninsula. At the same time, according to the head of the Ministry of Transport, first of all, the tourist potential of the bridge will be appreciated by the residents of Rostov and Krasnodar, for whom it is planned to launch high-speed trains to Crimea. In addition, the commissioning of the railway will allow to relieve the traffic jams in Crimea.
By the way, this factor was also mentioned by tour operators. “In general, as practice shows, while we worked with trains and took charters, the demand for air transportation is higher. The railway is more suitable for individual tourists, as “it happened historically”, - Alexey Zalivin, a representative of the tour operator “Biblio Globus” in Crimea, explained to the correspondent of the TURPROM information group.

At the same time, as the expert emphasized, railway transportation for Crimea is potentially even more interesting than for Sochi. “Air tickets to Crimea are very expensive during the season, prices go up to RUB20,000, and the appearance of a railway will create some competition, and we can expect that prices will decrease. As a result, tour operators will generally benefit, regardless of how they transport tourists, ”stressed Alexey Zalivin.
However, the expert sees a big plus in the availability of railway transportation not even in this. “What distinguished the Crimea this year is that after the opening of the Crimean bridge the entire peninsula got stuck in traffic jams. And the problem is not only in the unfinished highway "Tavrida" - the problem was to enter and leave any resort - Yalta, Alushta, Sudak. Parking lots, driveways to hotels - everything presents one big problem. Since we sell full tour packages, including transfer, we faced this problem very acutely, transportation began to take up a lot of time, tourists complained, but nothing could be done about it. The railway will unload the roads, which will already be of great benefit, ”Aleksey Zalivin is sure.

At the same time, experts emphasize: the railway itself is not interested in cooperation with the travel market. “Interaction with Russian Railways is traditionally difficult for tour operators, they have their own monopoly - Russian Railways Tour, therefore charter trains are extremely rare and with the opening of the bridge there will hardly be anyone willing to deliver them,” said Sergei Romashkin, general director of the Dolphin tour operator. However, the expert emphasized, the opening of railway communication will play a global role in the growth of tourist traffic in general. “We see that air traffic to Crimea is not growing this season, only by just 2-3%, which cannot be compared with the gigantic flow across the bridge. Accordingly, with the opening of the railway, we will see a massive increase in those wishing to travel to Crimea by train. Let us remind you that in Ukrainian times the ratio of tourists arriving by train and by plane was 1 to 5, that is, up to 80% of tourists arrived by train, ”said Sergei Romashkin. In figures, according to the expert, this respectively amounted to 1.5 million tourists by rail and 400-500 thousand "by air". "Travel through railroad is still more economical. In addition, the geography of trips is wider, planes fly to Crimea from only 60 cities, and the railway coverage will be wide, ”explained Sergey Romashkin.

As a result, of the three delivery channels - air, auto and railway, train travel, according to the expert's forecasts, will be the most in demand for about a year or two. “This is good for tourists. For tour operators, the situation is already such that we see a significant excess of land-based bookings over booking tour packages, this trend is likely to continue - Crimea will move into the sphere of predominantly land-based booking from tourists. To organize charters - whether by air or by rail - in the market, most likely, hardly anyone will have enough strength and resources, ”summed up Sergei Romashkin.
We add that any travel agency can place a weather widget in the form of a beautiful interactive map on its website for free, thereby significantly improving the perception of its Internet resource by potential tourists. So, if you have a section on the site dedicated to Crimea, then insert the following widgets there.
