Based on the previous article, the studied group is students of the Department of Management of one of the universities of Ukraine, the purpose of the study is to identify the factors of their motivation. S. Richie and P. Martin in his study had a similar group, so the model established by them was chosen.

  1. The need for high earnings, material remuneration and material benefits.
  2. The need for comfortable physical conditions of work.
  3. The need for structured work, feedback and information on their own work, reducing the degree of uncertainty related to work.
  4. The need for social contacts, at the level of easy communication with a wide range of people.
  5. The need for persistent long-term relationships with a small group of people.
  6. The need to recognize merit, the acquisition of social significance.
  7. The need for achieving and in the statement of responsible goals.
  8. The need for the impact and establishing control over others.
  9. The need for diversity and change, that is, the desire to constantly feel stimulating interest.
  10. The need for independence, independence and self-improvement of their personality.
  11. The need for creativity and latitude of views.
  12. The need for interesting and useful work for society.

If, carefully examine this model, it can resemble a fragmented Pyramid A. Oil, only without complying with the order.

Using the data of the survey, a diagram was built (Fig. 1) of the importance of each of the factors for the selected model.

How to read a chart? At the bottom of the motivational factors from the model chosen by us, the height of the speakers depends on the average value according to all responses respondents reflecting this issue, 0 means the absolute lack of interest in this factor, 3 is an excellent desire for this factor, respectively, the higher the column, the above He is more important. Also in the diagram you can find a dotted line, it is conditional and indicates that the factors have a value below it can not even be considered. The error is about 12-13%.

Based on the diagram, the four main motivating points can be distinguished:

  • money;
  • comfortable conditions;
  • maintaining relationships with loved ones;
  • the possibility of creating creative activity.

So, we have a detailed portrait of the student's motivation, it remains to build a system of its stimulation that we will do in the next article.

Stimulation - This is an external way of impact on human motivation. Introduction in education should increase motivation for learning from those who receive this education. It is this issue that will be covered in the final article of the "Motivation in Education" cycle.
