For the entire period of his work, Alexander Ivanovich wrote about 100 novels, the numerous number of stories, poems. They were written brief biographical essays "On Belinsky", "On Pushkin", biographies and notes to complete collections of the writings of Pushkin, Zhukovsky, Gogol, Nikitin, the works of "Heroes of Shakespeare", "French invasion of 1913". His books "Peter Creation", a miracle leader, "tears", "Little Hercules", "under the Russian banner", withstood several editions. The plays "Generalissimus Suvorov" and "affectionate calf" successfully walked on the stage of the people's house.
January 29, 1917, after a long illness, Alexander Ivanovich died. He was buried in the North (3rd pargolovsky) cemetery in S. Petherburg. The grave is not preserved.
